DigitalNC.org uses Google Analytics to collect and analyze information about how the website is used. The information gathered through Google Analytics allows the North Carolina Digital Heritage Center staff to see how the website is being used, providing important information that staff members are able to use to optimize the site so that it is helpful and accessible to all users.

If cookies are turned off, DigitalNC.org will still work as designed. DigitalNC.org uses AddThis to make it easy for our users to share links to items available on the site through email or social networking tools such as Facebook and Twitter. Disqus

DigitalNC.org uses Disqus to manage online comments. In order to submit comments, users will have to register with Disqus or a supported web service. The Disqus Privacy Policy describes how Disqus gathers and users personally identifiable information. If you would like to submit a comment for an item on DigitalNC.org but do not wish to register for Disqus or another service, email your comment to digitalnc@unc.edu and it will be added anonymously by North Carolina Digital Heritage Center staff.
