DigitalNC: North Carolina's Digital Heritage

The Loray Digital Archive consists of items collected and scanned during a project conducted by UNC-Chapel Hill’s Digital Innovation Lab from 2013-2017. These materials come from the community of Gastonia, NC. They document the Loray Mill “from the Loray’s opening as a textile mill in 1902, through its operation as a Firestone plant between 1935-1993, to its renovation and reopening as a mixed-use development in 2015.”
